William is doing great! I think for us it was a slower process in seeing the results. He was not in a great class last year and due to the later in the year finishing of the program he was not really able to put a lot of his new techniques into place. Now that a new school year has started, he has been able to implement many of the new techniques and the results have been amazing. Since September he has completed at least 6 novels on his own. One novel that he is working on now is almost 300 pages and he is enjoying every minute of it. He will actually come downstairs after reading saying "Mom, Mom, you have to hear about the new character that just showed up." Reading has finally become a joy and no longer a chore. He says there are no more headaches and that the only reason he hates reading now is if it just is a really boring book. His writing also has improved 10 fold. It is definitely neater and much more organized. He seems much better at organizing his thoughts. The spelling has improved quite a bit although he still does fall back on some old spelling of some trigger words that we have already worked on. At this time we are about half way through the list of trigger words. But most important and above all the academics , the best thing of all is his self confidence. Learning has no longer become a chore and do to that he appears to want to push it beyond. He wants to explore more or learn more or take a lesson beyond the simplicity of the class into something more interesting and exciting for him. I can definitely see a lot of the gifted tendencies of dyslexia now shinning through.

So thank you to you for opening our eyes to a new way of learning, for teaching William a way to understand how he learns and to use it to his advantage and for showing me an amazing part of my child that I was not able to see or understand until you taught him how to tell me about it. I love hearing now how he sees the world and find that he never ceases to amaze me with the wonders of his mind.

Here is hoping that you touch many more children and families as you have touched ours.

Thank you

Tammy-Jo
